Baxter tests show Alzheimer's hope

DEERFIELD -- Baxter International Inc.'s Gammagard intravenous treatment for immune disorders helped improve cognitive function in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease in a study, the company said on Thursday. The study of 24 patients was presented Thursday at a medical meeting in Chicago.
