To take the first leap onto the road to stardom, the Fox Valley can be a great place to step off. The following auditions have been set.

"Footloose": ArtReach Educational Theatre and Spotlite Theatrix will hold auditions for the summer musical, "Footloose."

Auditions are being held from 5 to 9 p.m. April 25 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 144 E. Palatine Road in Palatine.

Please prepare a verse and a chorus of a Broadway Musical Theatre or Pop song and be prepared to learn a dance combination. Audition appointments can be made by calling (630) 808-5852.

This project is being staged as part of the Teen Rehearsal and Performance Workshop and is tuition based. The rehearsal and performance process will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday, and from 6 to 9 p.m. June 9 to Aug. 4. Rehearsals will be held in Palatine and performances will be in Arlington Heights.
