Arlington Park offering Mother's Day events

Arlington Park is preparing to host several activities to celebrate Mother's Day at the track on May 11.

The first 7,500 women through the doors will receive a rose, and families can take advantage of several packages:

• A Mother's Day Suite Includes admission to Arlington Park, a Daily Racing Guide, use of a private suite, a shared buffet and four-hour Classic Bar, and shared use of wagering hosts.

• Mother's Day in the Governor's Room or the International Room includes admission to Arlington Park, a Daily Racing Guide, a shared buffet and four-hour Classic Bar, and a seat in the Governor's Room or International Room.

• Junior Jockey Club members, children age 12 and younger, will also have the opportunity to make Mom a special picture frame at Arlington Park's Junior Jockey Club located in the Paddock area.

• Children can also get involved with Arlington Park's Family Day, "Getting Excited About Science." This program will engage children of all ages with the ins and outs of recycling materials, along with the investigation of basic scientific principles. The program incorporates humor, music and audience participation.

As on every Sunday at Arlington, pony rides, a petting zoo and face painters will be on hand to entertain the whole family.
