TV sitcom actor joins Steppenwolf

Michael McKean recently joined the cast of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's upcoming summer production of "Superior Donuts," the newest play by ensemble member Tracy Letts, who recently won a Pulitzer Prize for drama for "August: Osage County."

Famed for turns on TV with "Laverne and Shirley" and on film in mockumentaries like "This Is Spinal Tap" and "Best in Show," McKean is set to play the role of an owner of a decrepit doughnut shop in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood in "Superior Donuts." The production is slated to run from June 19 to Aug. 17. Call (312) 335-1650 or visit Steppenwolf.org for more information.
