• Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington named the following students to the fall 2007-08 dean's list.
Arlington Heights: Regina Calabrese, Sean Dwyer, Kelsey Elgas, Danielle Grewe, Katie Henegan, Michael Kempf, Megan Lee, Sherry Reiss and Logan Shalett.
• G. David Rojas of Arlington Heights, a student in the Weinberg College of Arts and Science at Northwestern University, Evanston, was named to the fall 2007-08 dean's list.
• Sherry Reiss from Arlington Heights, a Prospect High School graduate, was selected as one of five winners of Illinois Wesleyan University's annual Henry Charles Memorial Concerto/Aria Competition in Bloomington.
Reiss, a junior majoring in music education, performed "Introduction, Theme and Variations" by Gioaccino Rossini as a featured clarinet soloist in the Illinois Wesleyan Civic Orchestra Concerto/Aria Concert on Feb. 22.
• Iowa State University in Ames named the following students to the 2007 fall dean's list.
Arlington Heights: Craig Robert Sutton, architecture-professional degree, College of Design, (sophomore); and Christie Isabel Wendel, elementary education, College of Human Sciences, (senior).
Rolling Meadows: Eric Robert Haizmann, pre-business, College of Business (freshman).
• Tom Odon, son of Peter and Nancy Odon of Arlington Heights, and a junior studying music education at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, was named the Music Director of the 2008 Illini Union Board production of the Broadway musical "Urinetown." He is also a member of the Marching Illini, Basketball Band, Tuba-Euphonium ensemble, and Symphonic Band II. Odon traveled to Ireland in March with the Marching Illini to play in Dublin's St. Patrick's Day parade. As a member of the Marching Illini he was also in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day in Pasadena, Calif. He is in the James Scholar Honors Program.
• Trish Gorecki, daughter of Steve and Sue Gorecki of Arlington Heights, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list at Marquette University, Milwaukee. Gorecki was also initiated into Phi Alpha Theta (history honor society), and has been inducted into the English Honor Society. She is a junior majoring in writing intensive English and history.
• Amanda Funk of Arlington Heights was named to the fall 2007 dean's list at Indiana University, Bloomington. Funk is a sophomore majoring in tourism management in the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
• James E. Colloton from Arlington Heights, a student at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list.
• Thomas Carbaugh of Arlington Heights, a junior mechanical engineering major at Valparaiso University in Indiana, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list.
• Lisa Powell of Rolling Meadows, a freshman psychology and French major at Valparaiso University in Indiana, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list for achieving at least a 3.50 grade point average.
• Kristina Forstrom of Arlington Heights, majoring in biomedical engineering, and Kristen M. Wellhausen of Arlington Heights, majoring in electrical engineering and management, both at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, were named to honors list.
• Kyrsten Becker from Arlington Heights, a freshman majoring in mathematics with a minor in secondary education at the University of St. Francis, Joliet, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list.
• Krista Mengarelli of Arlington Heights, a student pursuing an associate of arts in business administration at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa, was named to the fall 2007 dean's list.
