Buffalo Grove to present war drama

Buffalo Grove High School will present the anti-war play, "Bury the Dead," by Irwin Shaw, as its spring drama offering. The production's run is at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 7:30 p.m. Friday. The gold card performance will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Director Lauren Stenzel chose the play due to its timely themes of war and remembrance. Tickets are available at the door for $5, if not sold out. Call (847) 718-4000 during school hours.

Learning center open after school

Mother's Touch Learning Center, 1200 S. Dunton, Arlington Heights will offer a before and after school program for first through sixth graders starting with the 2008-2009 school year. Day off and snow days are available, as well as breakfast, free choice time, homework space, transportation to and from school, afternoon snack and gym activities. Mother's Touch will serve Windsor, Juliette Low, Westgate and for Dryden, a minimum eight students required. Call (847) 357-1721.

Wheeling High presents 'Seussical'

Wheeling High School will present "Seussical, The Musical!" at 7:30 p.m. April 24-26, in the school's Robert E. Sang Theater, 900 S. Elmhurst Road, Wheeling.

"Seussical" is a musical retelling of "Horton Hears a Who." Cast includes Dylan Evans, Andrew Sickel, Michelle McDonagh, Kayla Kennedy, Ryan Solan, Samantha Victor, Lauren Schauer, and Kayla Kennedy.
