Food for Fines: This week is National Library Week. One way patrons can celebrate is to take advantage of the Food for Fines Amnesty Program, which allows patrons with late charges on their library accounts to reduce or eliminate the fines and help replenish a local food pantry serving the community's less fortunate. Food for Fines enables patrons to reduce their fines by a maximum of $25. All items collected will benefit the Avon Township Food Pantry. Items must be non-perishable. Red Cross Blood Drive: An American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. April 21. For an appointment or details, visit www.givebloodgivelife.org, or call (847) 546-7060, prompt 4. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. A photo ID is required. All donors will be eligible for reduced library fines with a maximum of $25. Program Registration: Most registered programs fill quickly. Patrons can call one of the public desks to verify space availability. Call (847) 546-7060, prompt 4 for Youth programs, prompt 5 for Adult programs.

Library cards: Library cards are free to residents of the Round Lake Area Library District ages 3 and up. Call the Circulation Department at (847) 546-7060 and ask how to obtain a library card.

Income Tax Forms: Forms are located in the library's lobby. If you don't see what you need, visit the adult reference desk for assistance.

Library display cases: Anyone interested in displaying at the library can contact Elena Lara at (847) 546-7060, ext. 122.

Free citizenship classes: The library hosts classes from a 6 p.m. Tuesdays in the meeting room. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. Participants must know basic English.
