Duo will regale with Broadway tunes
On April 16, enjoy an evening of favorite show tunes as the popular duo of Bill and Susan Goodman return to present "The Best of Broadway" at 7 p.m. in the lower-level meeting room at the Dundee Township Public Library, 555 Barrington Ave. in East Dundee.
Their lively musical revue will entertain and amuse listeners as they sing, play a variety of musical instruments and tell stories. The program is free and open to the public.
The Goodmans will perform songs from such great Broadway shows as "Cats," "Phantom of the Opera" and "Annie," as well as tunes from George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra and other beloved performers.
The couple met in Evanston more than 23 years ago and have been delighting audiences across the nation with their blend of music and humor ever since.
Susan lived in Europe for 10 years, where she was a soprano with the Zurich Opera Company. She holds two degrees in voice from Chicago's Northwestern University, and also plays keyboards. Bill plays the clarinet and saxophone, and sings. One of the pieces most requested of him is his rendition of Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue."
