Democratic Party has lost credibility

Illinoisans should understand very well the problem in politics with Democratic leadership.

If you live in Cook County, it's very clear. The Democratic Party leads Cook County and for years has been afflicted with corruption, nepotism and graft. Solutions to financial problems always result in higher taxes, not cuts.

It also appears that the City of Chicago receives favorable treatment by the Illinois legislature. Democrat-led Illinois has seen its share of graft, corruption and nepotism with some powerful Chicago politicians leading the way.

We have a governor close to another political crisis with an investigation of a political fundraiser.

Looking at the election process of the Democrats, more confusion surfaces. Michigan and Florida are being punished for not following the rules. However, there are some that want those rules to change.

Neither candidate may have enough delegates to win the nomination. Therefore, super delegates may determine the outcome.

Now there is disagreement whether the super delegates are committed to the popular vote or independent from the popular vote.

The Democratic Party has lost its credibility. These are the people that want to control both houses of Congress and lead our country into the future.

With the examples they have provided so far, it appears they have no leadership qualifications. They set the guidelines for nominating a candidate for president and now they want to change them.

Al Gore's name even popped up as a potential candidate for something. We don't need a group that can't follow its own rules and can only agree on increasing taxes.

It would be divine justice if neither candidate received enough delegates or super delegates for their party's nomination and that both Democratic candidates be disqualified from the race and John McCain declared the next president of the United States.
