Anti-gun satire isn't funny in reality
This is a response to Stephen Besiegel's letter, "A Rocket Launcher In Every Backpack" (April 10).
Nice argument, Stephen. What are you, in third grade? Tell your "funny" idea to the ladies who died at Lane Bryant. Who were helpless with some psycho bent on killing them and they had no means to fight back.
If that was a Lane Bryant in Indiana, Iowa, Florida, Utah, Colorado or any of the other 48 states that allow law abiding citizens to defend themselves with a gun, those ladies might possibly still be alive today and their children would still have a mom.
If Illinois ever enacts concealed carry, and you and I are together where some crazed criminal starts shooting people at random, think about your stupid idea as you are hiding under a table and praying to God.
Myself and any other people with a concealed carry permit would hopefully be trying to end the situation and save your life.
