Woman cited after fatality

A 28-year-old Chicago woman has been cited for driving under the influence after an 8-year-old boy was fatally struck by her vehicle earlier this week. Theresa Alexander was also cited Thursday with one count of negligent driving and operating a motor vehicle with no insurance. Tyshaun Fields was struck and killed by a sport-utility vehicle allegedly driven by Alexander on Monday night. Authorities say Fields was running across the street in the Englewood community. He was pronounced dead minutes later at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.
