Siemens jobs move to Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE --Siemens Building Technologies Inc. said Friday it will transfer its manufacturing and distribution operations from its Fire Systems Division facility in Florham Park, N.J., to Buffalo Grove and elsewhere by late 2009. The Buffalo Grove facility, which has about 1,000 workers, could add another 60 employees. Jobs will include production line, light assembly and other fire detection and suppression systems and circuit board production jobs, company spokesman Steven E. Kuehn said. The move is expected to help Siemens gain production efficiencies.
