Make summer safer, reject gang activity
We are worried about our safety in our neighborhoods of Carpentersville this summer. To be honest, we are scared and concerned about the future of our community.
We can't play outside anymore because there is too much violence going on. We are scared of the gangs and their rivals. Our parks are being damaged and they have graffiti on the equipment.
Not much is being done to change this situation and we can't wait any longer. We want to change our neighborhoods and city to be a safer place so that people will talk positively about Carpentersville.
We want to challenge other kids and teenagers to not join a gang and to make good choices for the safety of our community.
This summer we want to be able to go outside and ride our bikes or play in park and feel safe around the neighborhood.
