Don't use teachers to solve state woes

Once again the State of Illinois is threatening to remove money needed for teacher pensions and medical insurance in order to meet state expenses.

Please consider that teachers have no other source of money for health insurance because we worked under the state pension system and therefore do not receive Social Security or Medicare.

The state has repeatedly stolen money from our pension system causing drastic increases in our medical insurance premiums.

Please vote "no" to solving the state's problems by hurting retired teachers.
