Buffalo Grove bike path vote delayed
The Buffalo Grove Village Board delayed a vote Monday on a bike path agreement with the state. The Illinois Department of Transportation is already working on improving the bridge over Aptakisic Creek on Milwaukee Avenue and offered a cost-sharing agreement to also extend a bike path. The 2,100-foot bike path would go from Inverary, over the creek and then connect to a system at Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Parkway. The village would pay $86,250 for the path, which is half the cost. The board asked Village Manager Bill Brimm to look at sharing costs with the township and county as well, since the bike path wouldn't be in the village itself.
