Officials: Body found is that of missing teen
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says a body found in a creek in the southern Chicago suburb of Sauk Village is that of a 15-year-old girl who had been missing for two days.
Sauk Village police say the body of Brashai Griffin was discovered late Friday by a village employee searching for the missing girl. They say the creek was near a trail children use as a short cut home from a nearby junior high school.
The medical examiner's office had scheduled an autopsy Saturday in an effort to determine the cause of the teen's death.
