Did Jay-Z and Beyonce walk down the aisle?
Various media outlets are reporting that longtime couple Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles tied the knot Friday night in New York City.
Sources say they've received no official word from the couple but a close friend says the pair wanted the ceremony to be as private as possible.
The intimate ceremony was attended by around two dozen guests including the parents of the bride and groom, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow and former Destiny Child's members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Speculation had already grown to a fever pitch earlier this week when People.com reported the superstars obtained a marriage license in Scarsdale Village, New York.
Then Friday morning, a white tent appeared on the roof of Jay-Z's Tribeca loft. Later cream orchids and candelabras were delivered to the building.
Amy Vongpitaka, owner of Thailand-based Amy's Orchids, told E! News that she shipped flowers for Beyonce's wedding. "The designer called us a week ago, and we had to move quickly. We used a total of 200 workers to cut and process 100,000 Dendrobium White orchids, and then we hand-chose the best 60,000."
Sources also told E!Online! that the Roman numeral IV played a major role in the ceremony, both because it was the dating of the wedding (4/04/2008) and because both Jay-Z and Knowles were born on the fourth of the month.
The pair also having matching IV tattoos on their ring fingers.
Jay-Z, 38, and Knowles, 26 have been dating since 2002.
