Chance to make statement on war

Over the past months, the Iraq War is increasingly being called the "forgotten war."

On April 8, at the annual township meeting, residents of Downers Grove Township have a unique opportunity to help keep this war in the public consciousness.

Registered voters of the township will be voting to place the following question on the November ballot:

"Shall the United States government immediately begin an orderly and rapid withdrawal of all of its military personnel from Iraq, beginning with the National Guard and Reserves?"

The township meeting is Tuesday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Ashton Place, 341 75th Street in Willowbrook.

All registered voters in the township may vote. Please come and help send the message that not only do we honor the service of our brave men and women serving in Iraq, but that we want them home where they belong.
