Thanks for a great property tax forum

On March 25, I, along with state Sen. Carole Pankau and state Rep. Franco Coladipietro, hosted a property tax legislative forum at Addison village hall.

I would like to thank those who participated and helped to make it a successful event. Special thanks go to Addison Township Assessor Christopher Kain, DuPage County Supervisor of Assessments Craig Dovel and DuPage County Treasurer Gwen Henry for their participation and their efforts to educate taxpayers on their tax bills. Their presentations were both informative and helpful. Thanks also go to the village of Addison for allowing us to host the event at village hall. The hospitality and professionalism of village staff helped to make the event run very smoothly.

I would also like to thank the residents who attended the event. Hopefully it was beneficial to them and helped to inform them about their property taxes and pending legislation that may affect those taxes in the future. I remain committed to the residents of the 46th District and to providing useful information on a variety of topics. I encourage my constituents to contact me with any concerns they may have and invite their continued interest and comments on any matters that come before the legislature.
