Preschool registration continues

Preschool registration for Dundee Township Park District residents started on March 1 at the recreation and fitness center, 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville.

Children in the preschool program are actively involved in a curriculum, which stresses the social, emotional, physical and academic aspects of their development. Preschool visits are available upon request.

Programs and qualifications are:

• Almost Three preschool programs: children who will enter kindergarten in 2011 and child's birthday must be on or before Jan. 1, 2009.

• Three-year-old preschool programs: Children who will enter kindergarten in 2010 and are 3 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2008, are eligible; children must be able to take care of their own bathroom needs -- no pull-ups are permitted; and classes start the second week of September and end the first week of June.

• Four-year-old preschool programs: Children who enter kindergarten in 2009 and are 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2008, are eligible; children must be able to take care of their own bathroom needs -- no pull-ups are permitted; and classes start the second week of September and end the first week of June.
