McCain part of a dubious legacy
Remember Bush's legacy in November.
Quoting from Page 45 of this month's conservative "Fortune" magazine:
• 325 percent the rise in West Texas crude prices from George Bush's inauguration in January 2001 through March 7, 2008. Futures prices topped $108 a barrel in March.
• A 33.7 percent decline in the value of the dollar versus a basket of currencies since Bush took office. In March, the dollar hit a record low against the euro.
On Page 89 of the same magazine:
• Home prices will fall enough for us to produce about 20 million people with negative equity. That's almost a quarter of all U.S. homes. We are heading for $6 trillion or $7 trillion dollars in capital losses in housing.
Besides the above good news, there are now 4,000 dead U.S. soldiers and more than 30,000 injured. The war now costs $12 billion per month.
John McCain was behind Bush, approving all of the actions that led to the above, except that McCain is against torturing prisoners.
If you want four more years of Bush's legacy, vote for McCain in November.
