Kirk's compassion misses the mark

For the reader who wrote in praising Mark Kirk for being so compassionate, I have a few questions:

Where was Kirk's compassion when he voted to oppose benchmarks that would have brought our troops home in a timely manner? Four thousand of them have died, and many others need medical care.

Where was Kirk's compassion when he voted against increasing veterans' health care and supported cutting funds to veterans' health care by $1.8 billion?

Where was Kirk's compassion when he refused to support a budget proposal that funded SCHIP, which would have provided health care for millions of Americans who could not afford it?

Where was Kirk's compassion when he voted against overriding the president's veto on the bill that would have banned water boarding?

Is this the voting record of a compassionate man? I think not.

If the people of the 10th district believe as I do that the district should be represented by someone who really is compassionate and sensitive to the needs of the people, they should join me in voting for Dan Seals for Congress.
