Body found on SIU's Carbondale campus
CARBONDALE -- Police in Carbondale are trying to identify the male body found in a creek on Southern Illinois University's campus.
SIU spokesman Rod Sievers says the body was found about 8 a.m. near Wright Hall.
It's been taken to a hospital for examination.
Sievers says police haven't yet determined how long the body may have been in the water. But he says no students from the campus have been reported missing in recent days.
The campus' public safety department doesn't have immediate comment as it investigates the matter with Carbondale police.
