Four arrested in fatal shooting of teen near school

Chicago police say four male suspects are in custody in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man outside a high school on the city's South Side.

Officers say the victim, Chavez Clarke was attending Saturday classes when he was shot in the parking lot of Simeon Career Academy. He was pronounced dead late yesterday afternoon at Christ Medical Center. Authorities said late Saturday they did not know if Clarke was a full-time student at the school or was only enrolled in the weekend classes.

Police News Affairs Officer David Banks says four males are in custody, but no charges had been filed as of early Sunday morning.
