Stop the stalling and the excuses

Many Illinois classrooms are using mobile units or other forms of temporary classrooms. Others are in dire need of remodeling, repair and renovation. But lawmakers make excuses and stall the capital bill.

Numerous Illinois bridges and roads are deficient. Others are threats to our safety, health and welfare. Yet lawmakers make excuses and stall the capital bill.

Many families are going without health care and pray they will not need it. Others have already faced losing their homes, loved ones or savings. Yet lawmakers make excuses.

Enough is enough. This country has shown it craves change at the national level. We need to demand it on the local level. Lawmakers need to make the people the priority. They can no longer stall and make excuses.
