Choose candidate, not political party
This is in response to Mr. Daryl Pratt's letter of March 4 entitled "Democrats would mismanage country."
What an interesting, naive thing to say -- to lump all Democrats like that, like the Republicans have done such a great job in the last seven-plus years.
Let's see, gas is around $3.50 per gallon and may top $4 per gallon by this summer; we are in a recession; foreclosures on homes are at an all-time high; the housing market is on the decline; unemployment rate is rising; the overall economy stinks; and oh yeah, isn't McCain the one who said that the economy is not his specialty or he has no idea how to help it?
Let's see, to continue, we are now spending how many trillions on Iraq -- How many dead, wounded or maimed for life? How many civilians dead or maimed for life? McCain wants to keep Americans in Iraq long after he is dead himself and buried. But he is strong on defense.
He wants to keep American troops in Iraq for 100 years. That's being strong, and completely blind and ignorant.
Enough is enough already. McCain, no way.
Choose the best candidate, period, not the party.
