Overcrowding does exist at North

Recently we have seen reports in the St. Charles school district that projected student populations haven't materialized.

Some families would like to take advantage of this information to undo the boundary changes that were so painfully determined just a short time ago. Well, I would suggest that prior to any school board members going along with this thinking they spend 1 minute in St. Charles North during class changes, and there will be no need for further discussion.

The amount of overcrowding is ridiculous and as a concerned parent I suggest the St. Charles Fire Department investigate the number of children and determine whether the school's population is within code. When the students emerge from class, if you aren't moving in the right direction you risk being trampled.

Prior to anyone discussing reversal of the recent high school boundaries, I ask you to live a day in our children's life and then realistically suggest that there is adequate room at North. The future projections might be wrong but the present conditions warrant redistribution of present school population.
