Snow continues tonight
The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for snow well into the evening.
The low tonight will be around 26. North northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. According to forecasters, the total accumulation will be between 1 and 3 inches.
The weather translated into hundreds of passengers sitting around and waiting at O'Hare International Airport today. The Chicago Aviation Department announced delays of up to 30 to 90 minutes at O'Hare because of poor visibility. About 200 flights were canceled.
Midway International Airport fared better with no problems reported, officials said. Travelers heading to either airport are advised to check their airlines in advance for flight status.
