Round Lake Beach man gets 2 years probation for cocaine possession
A Round Lake Beach man convicted of cocaine possession was sentenced to two years probation Tuesday in Lake County circuit court.
Keith Glorioso, 41, could have faced up to three years in prison.
Lake County Assistant State's Attorney Scott Hoffert said Glorioso was arrested March 12, 2006, when police raided his residence at 62 Ivy Drive.
A small amount of cocaine was found in the house and Glorioso and another resident of the house was taken into custody.
Charges were later dropped against the second person arrested, Bonny Palka, 50, after Glorioso signed a statement admitting the cocaine was his.
Circuit Judge Fred Foreman also ordered Glorioso to pay a fine of $500, contribute $200 to the Lake County drug court program and perform 50 hours of public service.
Hoffert said the record of Glorioso's conviction will be dropped if he successfully completes his probation and avoids further trouble with the law.
