Aurora teens admit to hate crime
A DuPage County judge ordered Monday two Aurora teens to perform 200 hours community service while serving two years' probation for making repeated harassing phone calls to an interracial couple in October 2006. John Chapman, 18, and Juan Recio, 19, were sentenced after pleading guilty to charges related to committing a hate crime. The teens called the couple some 20 times and made racial slurs, officials said.
