Rally turnout was under reported

I was glad to see that the Daily Herald at least briefly mentioned that many 2nd Amendment supporters traveled to Springfield recently.

However, I was very disappointed to see the number listed as "hundreds." Other newspapers correctly noted the number as 1,500 or more. Since I was part of this large group I know that the number was well over 1,000.

Is this an attempt to reduce the number of Second Amendment supporters or just a case of bad math?
