St. Charles man dies in one-car crash

A St. Charles man was killed in a single-vehicle car crash Saturday night in DeKalb County.

William L. Browning, 46, was pronounced dead at 8:45 p.m., according to the coroner's office.

The accident is still being investigated by both the coroner and the DeKalb County sheriff's office.

But the coroner's office said it appears Browning was traveling eastbound on Route 38 near Chase Road when his vehicle veered onto the shoulder on the south side of Route 38 and then rolled over several times. The car then came to rest on its roof in a field.
