Ex-coach pleads not guilty to sex charges

A former Aurora middle school coach has pleaded not guilty to allegations he molested at least three youngsters. Robert Steck, 38, of the 900 block of Shady Lane, was arraigned Wednesday on sexual abuse offenses, according to Justin Fitzsimmons, a Kane County prosecutor. Until the charges were filed last year, Steck coached basketball and wrestling at Cowherd Middle School in Aurora and is now on leave. His next court date is April 17.
