Bean should back global warming bill
Recently published scientific studies now indicate that if our world is to avert a dangerous rise in global temperatures we are going to have to cease carbon emissions altogether in the next few decades.
As each year goes by and we refuse to take action, the news regarding global warming just gets worse. It should be obvious to our elected officials that we need immediate action on global warming. I call upon my representative, Melissa Bean, to act by co-sponsoring the strongest global warming bill in the House of Representatives -- the Safe Climate Act.
The bill would dramatically cut heat-trapping emissions, invest in renewable sources of energy like wind and solar, and increase the fuel efficiency of automobiles. The bill enjoys 149 co-sponsors, but Rep. Bean has resisted calls to sign it. Such action in the face of this crisis is inexcusable.
Please contact Rep. Bean at (202) 225-3711 and demand that she take action.
