Candle sale benefits school

The PTO of Spring Wood Middle School in Hanover Park is hosting a candle sale through April 10 as a fundraiser for the school.

Money raised will be used for such items as school materials and to cover costs of field trips for needy students.

Schoolchildren and the PTO are selling Gold Canyon candles that come in glass jars with lids. There are various scents and three sizes and prices range from $14.50 to $22.

The sale goes on through Aug. 10.

Arts in Bartlett puts its work on display

A show of paintings by members of local arts council Arts in Bartlett will be on display through March 30 in the Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gallery, 1919 Walnut Ave.
