April 5 is fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity

Spring is just around the corner and with it comes the most important event of the year for Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley.

On April 5, Habitat will hold it largest annual fundraiser, "Dream Builders Soiree III," which includes a live and silent auction. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with the tasting and open bar followed by a plated dinner.

This year, the event will be held at the historic Baker Hotel in St. Charles.

Join Habitat for a Taste of the Fox as chefs from the area's finest restaurants will provide samplings of favorite dishes.

Participating restaurants for food include: Niche, Fahrenheit, Szechwan, St. Charles Place, Dimitri's and ZaZa's. Those participating for deserts include: Graham's Fine Chocolate and Ice Cream, Cocoa Cabana and Cocoa Bean.

"This is one of our most exciting and best attended events. We have wonderful auction items and the food is going to be fabulous. Plus you just can't beat the ambience of the Baker Hotel," said Habitat for Humanity executive director Barb Beckman. "However, most important is that this event is critical to our success in raising enough funds to build homes in the Fox Valley for families in need. We encourage people to come out from winter hibernation and support a great cause."

Anyone interested in attending the event or donating an item for the silent or live auction should call (847) 836-1432. Seating is limited.
