Young artists wanted for festival
At the Buffalo Grove Invitational Fine Art Festival, to be held July 19 and 20 at the Buffalo Grove Town Center, the village is coordinating a Youth Art Program whereby interested young people will be able to display and sell their artwork. This is an opportunity for young artists to showcase their original, creative artwork to large public audiences, learn about business, marketing and communication and experience what it is like to be a professional artist over the festival weekend. The application deadline is April 1.
While the adult artists are selected through a jury process, the Youth Art Division will be filled on a first come, first served basis. For more information, call the village manager's office, at (847) 459-2518 or e-mail BGArts@vbg.org.
