Sign kids up for farm camp in Grayslake

Registration has just started for this summer's Children's Farm Camp at the Prairie Crossing Learning Farm in Grayslake. This camp lets children find out where their food comes from as they plant seeds, explore life in and above the soil, make fresh snacks with crops they harvest and visit the chickens to collect eggs.

Farm camp is open to children entering preschool through fourth grade, with six different groups in three age ranges. Camp will start June 16 and end Aug. 7. Each two-week, half-day camp has limited enrollment. Prairie Crossing Learning Farm is at 32400 N. Harris Rd. in the Prairie Crossing Conservation Community off of Route 45, just south of Route 120 in Grayslake.
