Five Bolingbrook teens held in string of armed robberies

Police in Southwest suburban Bolingbrook say five teenagers are in custody in connection with armed robberies last month there and in neighboring Romeoville.

Police said the five Bolingbrook residents were arrested Friday and formally charged Saturday in three robberies on Feb. 22 and 29.

The five were identified as: 17-year-old Antwon Davis, 18-year-old Sena Ador, 18-year-old Terrence Suggs-Nichols, 19-year-old Patrick Kwarten and Charles Smothers, also 19. Their bonds ranged from $250,000 to $1 million.

Police say the suspects approached people sitting alone in their cars in parking lots, held them at gunpoint and forced them to withdraw money from automated teller machines.
