Leave people alone to enjoy fireplaces

After reading recent letters responding to Mr. Dubinski's call for banning wood burning fireplaces, maybe he can contribute to those neighbors he deems are polluting his air.

But the debate should be looked at with some common sense. Mr. Dubinski is trying to infringe on one's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and right to quiet enjoyment in their own home.

These do-gooders and tree-huggers can also be blamed in good part for the massive forest fires in the West every year. People who live in these areas are not allowed to clear brush to prevent the destruction of homes and lives, yet the smoke and ash that blanket these states and flows eastward is more detrimental than someone's fireplace residue.

Let's get real. Mind your own business, leave your neighbors alone, and find something else to do with your life besides gripe.
