East, West Dundee lead off local St. Pat's Day parades
St. Patrick's Day wouldn't be complete without some events to mark the occasion.
This Saturday in Dundee Township, there are two big ones -- parades in both East Dundee and West Dundee.
East Dundee
The downtown parade will begin at 11 a.m. from Bandito Barney's Beach Club, 10 N. River St.. The route will take revelers north on River Street, west on Barrington Avenue and north on Water Street, ending at Rosie O'Hare's Pub, 702 Water St.
The parade will include public safety vehicles, elected officials and local businesses. The fee for businesses is $20. Nonprofits and the public can march for free.
There will be drink and shot specials at Rosie O'Hare's and Bandito Barney's, and corned beef dinners will be available at both locations.
