Anderson going to pet expo

Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin will have a booth at the 16th annual Chicagoland Family Pet Expo Friday through Sunday at Arlington Park Racecourse in Arlington Heights.

The shelter will be featuring dog, cats, puppies and kittens for adoption as well as raffles and merchandise for sale.

The Chicagoland Family Pet Expo features more than 300 exhibits of products and services for pets and pet lovers plus speakers, demos, contests and more.

The Chicagoland Family Pet Expo is a pet lovers paradise and allows you to get "up close and personal" with hundreds of pets of all kinds. Enjoy entertaining shows and competitions. You may even enter your dog or cat in several different contests; pre-registration is required.

The expo will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults or $6 for children, age 3 to 12.
