Quad County Urban League to host open house

The Quad County Urban League will host an open house from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the league's new satellite office, at 40 DuPage Court, Suite 502 in Elgin.

The league invites its supporters and the community to join in this celebration.

"We now have a satellite office in Elgin that meets our constituents' needs, and supports our core mission to empower communities and change lives," said Theodia Gillespie, president and chief executive officer of the Quad County Urban League.

The league's primary goal is to help individuals and families improve their lives by achieving economic self-reliance.

The Elgin office will offer educational, employment training, and job readiness services to meet the needs of the local economy -- including a focus on the trades and corporate market demand in the Elgin area.
