Wright school auction: The Gary D. Wright Elementary School PTO will hold its first silent and live auction.

This event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the school, 1500 Ketchum Road in Hampshire.

The theme is "Beyond the Bricks and Mortar … building technology … one bid at a time."

This promises to be a great event filled with entertainment, appetizers and auction items.

Tickets cost $15 per person or $20 at the door.

Proceeds from the event will benefit both the Gary D. Wright Elementary School students, through the purchase of classroom computers, as well as the Hampshire-Burlington Food Pantry.

The public is welcome to donate items for the auction.

The delightful story of the con man salesman Harold Hill, who fools everybody but the intelligent town librarian Marian Paroo, includes all sorts of characters, cantankerous to painfully shy, is brimful of rousing music, from marches to love ballads, and sparks with the energy and enthusiasm of an extremely talented and large cast.
