Teachers rally around former student
Local teachers rallied around a former student and got their heads shaved Saturday at a St. Baldrick fundraiser at the South Elgin Clubhouse.
The event was held in honor of Paige Stibgen, an 11-year-old Corron Elementary School student from South Elgin who died of acute myeloid leukemia on last November.
The goal of the event was to raise $2,500 each for research at fundraiser to support childhood cancer research.
