Beauty of this bridge in a beholder's eye

Your article on the "Bridge of Beauty" failed to mention the attractive landscaping that is planned for the eastern part of Stearns Road that currently runs through Bartlett and DuPage County.

Are there no federal funds or county funds included in this project for landscaping to alleviate the increased pollution that will result from millions of cars traveling through our small town and past residential communities?

Why should Bartlett and DuPage residents sacrifice their quality of life for those in St. Charles, Wayne and Kane County? What is more important? Air quality and health or making sure your bridges aren't "ugly"?

I'm looking forward to Part II; plans for the remainder of Stearns Road and the residents whose quality of life is greatly impacted by the Bridge of Beauty.
