If you're in the 14th Congressional District, it's time to vote ... again
In case you hadn't noticed from all the TV, radio and mail ads, there is a special election today.
Republican Jim Oberweis of Sugar Grove faces Democrat Bill Foster of Geneva. The winner fills out the rest of Dennis Hastert's term as congressman for the 14th District. Polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Other FAQ:
1. Given that advertising has run on major Chicago radio and television stations, we don't blame you if you are a bit confused over whether you actually live in the district. There are three ways to tell, officially:
A. Check your voter registration card.
B. Go online to www.elections.il.gov/DistrictLocator/AddressSearch.aspx. Type in your address, and it will give you a list of the districts that apply to you.
C. Call your county clerk or election commission.
2. Where do I vote?
Most of you go to your regular polling place. But about 25 places in Kane County and 1 in DeKalb County are different. That's because the churches that normally host them were not available. Check the link "where to vote" at www.kanecountyelections.org, and "change of polling place" at www.dekalbcounty.org/Elections/election_voterinfo.html.
3. Who do I call if I have a problem or complaint about voting?
Aurora Election Commission: (630) 897-4030
Kane County Clerk: (630) 232-5990
Kane County State's Attorney: (630) 208-5328
DuPage County Election Commission: (630) 407-5600
Kendall County Clerk: (630) 553-4104
DeKalb County Clerk: (815) 895-7150
(Of course, we want to know if there are any problems, so feel free to call us at (630) 587-8624.)
4. Where can I get results?

www.dekalbcounty.org/Elections/election_voterinfo.html
5. When do I get to vote again?
