Police describe robbers who hit video game store
Round Lake Beach police released descriptions of two men wanted for questioning in the armed robbery of a GameStop store.
One suspect is 18 to 25 years old and 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall with medium build. He was wearing dark pants, white shoes, and a red and black jacket with the words "Got Game" on the back.
The other suspect is also 18 to 25 years old, and 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He has a medium build and was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Both men concealed their faces during the robbery.
They made off with an Xbox 360 Elite and a PlayStation 3 game system and several PlayStation and Xbox games.
There have been similar robberies in Gurnee, Zion and Waukegan, police said.
The masked thieves, one armed with a handgun, robbed the video-game store at 617 E. Rollins Road on Sunday shortly before it was closing at 8 p.m., police said.
Two employees were outside, preparing to lock up the store, when they were confronted by the thieves.
The robbers forced the workers inside and locked one employee in a closet, police said. They made the other employee open a safe. That employee was also locked in the closet after the thieves took an undisclosed sum of money, police said.
Neither employee was hurt, officials said.
