Couple accused of selling drugs from apartment
A Carpentersville couple accused of selling drugs from their Fox View apartment were arrested Wednesday after cocaine and marijuana were found in their residence, police said.
Andrea D. Brown, 23, and David D. Russell, 28, both of 17 Oxford Drive, Unit 14, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana, according to a court report.
Police armed with a search warrant entered their apartment at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after receiving word that drugs were being sold there.
Police said they found 29.06 grams of cocaine and 26.43 grams of marijuana.
Brown was wanted on a DuPage County warrant for an unknown felony charge and the document stated the county would extradite her if she were caught.
Brown's bond was set at $200,000; Russell's bond was $100,000. Both were unable to post bond and were taken to the Kane County jail.
Their next court dates are on March 24 at the Kane County Judicial Center.
