Arts in Bartlett puts its work on display

A show of paintings by members of the local arts council Arts in Bartlett will be on display through March 30 in the Hanover Park Park District Community Center Gallery, 1919 Walnut Ave. A reception for the artists will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Bluegrass band to perform Saturday

The sounds of banjos, guitars, mandolins and more will fill the air when the Hard Times Bluegrass Band performs at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Harper College, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, in Room A238.

The band, led by Keith Baumann and comprising some of the area's top players -- all of whom have toured nationally as professional bluegrass musicians -- will perform traditional bluegrass music.

Admission is $10-$15. Light refreshments will be served. Advance ticket purchase recommended as the space is limited.
